The Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute, originally the McGill Cancer Centre (MCC), was founded in 1978. Its mandate was, and still remains: to serve as a centre for revolutionary cancer research. Today the GCI is a research hub where world-leading experts from various disciplines such as cancer biology, clinical oncology, computer science, mathematics, engineering, and physics come together to devise innovative solutions to such a complex disease.
